To support the next generation of leaders who share these values, Polchinski & Smith Personal Injury Lawyers is offering the Commitment to Justice Scholarship. This $1,000 award is open to students who are actively pursuing higher education and who demonstrate a deep dedication to advocating for others, whether in their schools, neighborhoods, or broader communities. The ideal applicant will have a strong sense of civic responsibility, a passion for helping people, and a vision for how they will make a positive impact through their education and future career. This scholarship reflects our belief that justice begins with everyday actions and a desire to make a difference.
Essay Prompt & Questions
Please respond to the following questions in an essay of 1,000 words or less:
- Describe a personal experience or moment that inspired your interest in advocacy or standing up for others.
- How have you worked to create positive change in your community?
- What role do you believe your education will play in helping you promote justice or support vulnerable individuals?
Eligibility Criteria
This scholarship is open to any student who is currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate, graduate, or professional program in the United States. This includes accredited community college students, high school seniors, and individuals who possess a GED and have been accepted to or are enrolled in an accredited program.
The scholarship applicant must demonstrate their commitment to advocating for others and promoting justice in their essay.
All eligible candidates must be in good academic standing with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
